The front loader (also called a front end loader, bucket loader, scoop loader or simply shovel) is really a tractor that has normal wheels. It has a square wide tilt able bucket on the front on the end of hydraulic arms for lifting and moving matter or objects around.
It may be a permanent fixture to the tractor, or can be removable. There are also other attachments that can replace the bucket for other uses such as forks or a hydraulically controlled bucket.

Dump trucks are used for transporting many different loose materials, including sand, dirt, and gravel in the construction business. The usual dump truck has an open box with a hinged overhead tailgate, that when raised at the front (with hydraulics) the content fall out the back.

The forklift is a very useful tool, whether in a factory, out in the stockyard, or even on construction sites. They are more or less a specialized vehicle with hydraulics in the front to lift 2 forks that push forward. Some can tilt back as well for better hold on their cargo. They are usually used to move cargo loaded on pallets (or skids). The forklift was developed in 1920, and has been a valuable tool for manufacturing and warehousing sites ever since.
